Advancing Healthcare through Evidence-Based Guidelines: A Research Study

Fostering Trust and Confidence through Evidence-Based Care

Advancing Global Healthcare:

The Impact of Evidence-Based Guidelines

and Collaborative Initiatives

This research study explores the significance of evidence-based guidelines, policies, and practices in the global healthcare delivery system. These guidelines, rooted in scientific principles and clinical trials, are essential for delivering high-quality care. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) established the Center for Translation Research and Implementation Science (CTRIS) in 2014 to promote the integration of evidence-based guidelines into clinical practices. In the same year, the NHLBI and the American Society of Hematologists (ASH) published guidelines for the treatment of individuals with sickle cell disease. These evidence-based practices lead to improved patient care, efficient resource utilization, and enhanced accountability.

An Applied Doctoral Research Project

The research is part of the Applied Doctoral Research Project (ADRP), serving as the capstone project for the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program. Its primary purpose is educational, enabling the doctoral candidate to demonstrate the ability to conduct and present high-level research. The ADRP adopts a Single Case Study design, focusing on a specific business practice issue within a single organization. It is not intended for publication or generalization to a broader population. The ADRP’s research project documentation has received approval from the Liberty University Institutional Review Board (IRB) under 45 CFR 46.102(l).
